MIDRIFT HURINET is non-profit organization that was founded in 2008 whose main mandate is to empower citizens, the state and non-state actors to inculcate a culture of Human Rights, Peace & Security and Good Governance.

To empower Citizens, State and Non-State actors to inculcate a Culture of Human Rights, Good Governance, Peace and Security in Kenya.

- Accountability: We are dedicated to maintaining high levels of accountability in all parts of our operations ensuring that resources are used effectively and ethically in order to fulfill our purpose

- Human dignity: We promote human dignity by fighting for equality, justice, and inclusion as well as resisting all forms of discrimination, oppression and violence.
- Equity: We work to promote equity by pushing laws and practices that ensure that all people have equal rights, opportunities, and results, regardless of background, orientation, gender, or other identities
OUR APPROACH
Many of the challenges including Peace and Security, Governance and Human Rights cannot be tackled or solved by one sector alone. MIDRIFT HURINET adopts the Multi-Sectoral Approach (MSA) to help stakeholders to create a common agenda, a shared vision, jointly develop strategies, new tools and action plans and establish coordination and collaboration structures and platforms to address systemic challenges.
Through the synergy created between partners, the MSA fosters sharing of human and financial resources to develop truly holistic approaches. These approaches support each sector with knowledge, expertise and reach, while helping to develop more coherent sectoral strategies and programmes for effective management of systemic challenges at the community level.
