Community-led Initiative Transforms Emergency Response in Nakuru town

In Nakuru Town, emergency response is becoming faster and more community-driven. A Community Health Promoter trained in Psychological First Aid helped form Sisi Kwa Sisi, a network of local leaders, CHPs, boda boda riders, and youth who work together to support people in distress. The group offers quick emotional and practical help, like hospital transport and reporting cases. With 83 active members, the community now responds sooner, trusts the system more, and has resolved several crises through collective action.
